Learning Technology in Blended Learning (Anang Nazaruddin)

Science & technology nowadays has developed using rapidly. The rapid development of Information Technology has an impact on life, based on life starting until it ends. Life, for example, is known as using an e-life style or lifestyle with all electronics, is a life that is determined by various kinds of needs electronically which also brings effects in more efficient various aspects of life itself. The importance of developing and managing technology is fact, starting to be felt in all aspects of life, including in the field of education. Entering the era of coverage, the development of science and technology is now increasingly rapid. This development can also be attributed to global education, where Education learning methods are now growing. Information technology in an unstoppable current of globalization is a must. This is in line with globalization which penetrates many aspects of life ranging from economic aspects, technological aspects to cultural aspects. In the field of education, discovery is an absolute thing to do, because without innovation there will be stagnation that affects other elements of life such as politics, economy, social society & others (Muna, 2015).

As a pillar that has urgency in order to build a better life atmosphere, education should be able to produce the development of physical as well as psychic competencies, this is stated in the formulation of national education goals contained in the Indonesian National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003 into the following: National Education functions to spread the ability & build a dignified national disposition and civilization, aims to develop the potential of didk participants to become human beings who have faith and piety in the spirit of God Almighty, have a noble character, healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent and become the people of a democratic & responsible state.

Education has developed significantly and little by little in many aspects of its learning including learning vehicles & infrastructure, media, examples, tactics and technology that support learning and its own teaching staff and other supporting elements. For this reason, innovation in the field of education as a necessity.

Identical education uses efforts to transfer knowledge using realizing learning programs in the form of a teaching and learning process. The process of teaching and learning activities is the interaction between students & teachers in order to achieve the learning goals that have been set.  Sugihartono et al stated that the implementation of many examples of learning is an effort made deliberately by educators to express knowledge & knowledge, organize & create environmental systems using various methods as a result of which students can carry out learning activities effectively and efficiently with optimal results (Sugihartono, 2007).

An effective and fun learning process will result in students being able to be active during the learning process. Active learning can be done when managing classes using a lot of methods & approaches. Teachers who are able to apply a variety of learning methods that are creative, varied & more focused on spreading the potential of their students will result in students being more active in the learning process. And this is usually known as a face-to-face method that can be said to be traditional learning or classically (conventional).

Learning activities are activities carried out in the learning process, namely between teachers and students in order to achieve learning goals. The activities carried out are serious in students, because using the activity in the learning process results in more meaningful learning. Because it is a measure of the ability to understand knowledge of developing skills and behaviors that go in a better direction. So that this learning activity is important to involve all components in the educational process, including the use of information technology as a medium for learning. Or in other words, the use of technology in learning becomes a sense to facilitate the achievement of goals in learning itself in traditional learning.

Currently, the world is moving quickly towards the formation of a science-based society, knowledge-based business enterprises, & the realization of a new culture based on science and technology, especially coverage and communication technology (ICT) or also known as using information and communication technology (ICT) which with its main form is the internet (Usman, 2018).

The emergence of technology in the field of news & communication has brought such great benefits to people’s lives, including in the world of education so that it benefits from using advances in the field of learning technology because of its extraordinary benefits.

One of the things that has received crucial attention along with the development of IT (Information Technology) is a learning system that shares multimedia-based learning both online and offline. Through multimedia learning is no longer monotonously centered in the teacher and and occurs only when face-to-face or conventional, but is more varied through the use of varied and more attention-grabbing learning origins for learners. In real terms, the form according to the development of information and communication technology that has been implemented in global education is electronic learning, commonly abbreviated as e-learning.

E-learning is an innovation that has a grand work in the learning process, where the learning process not only helps to understand the material comprehensively in learning, but results in more effective, fun learning & results in students being more active in learning, namely not only choosing a menu in the form of an icon, teaching materials can be quickly displayed. Teaching materials can be visualized in a lot of dynamic and interactive formats and forms. Students will be motivated in carrying out the learning process starting from the beginning of learning, rewarding material interactively until in the assessment termin involves the work of technology in it. Even based on (Sagala, Syaiful, 2006) learning by utilizing various variations of media (multimedia) using interesting material can increase the enthusiasm of students in the learning process.

E-learning is an example of online learning (distance learning) needed to be able to shift conventional learning examples that are believed to have various kinds of shortcomings. However, in its implementation, the e-learning learning model has a series of limitations compared to face-to-face learning. These limitations include; The weak control is caused by the lack of dominance of the concept of using the method of using the implementation of e-learning both the educators and their students, limited internet network access, availability of learning modules and lack of infrastructure.

Therefore, various kinds of compromises are offered as a solution to another way, namely using a combination of face-to-face learning examples in the classroom (face-to-face learning) with e-learning-based learning.

Blended Learning is a learning that combines the application of traditional learning in the classroom using online learning that utilizes information technology. And there is also a time when face-to-face learning is also carried out, either face-to-face in a place or face-to-face using multimedia where educators & students are able to have direct contact so that pause obstacles can be overcome using the help of multimedia equipment or it can be said to be learning technology. So whether it can be said that blended learning is one solution to the obstacles that occur in conventional learning & e-lerning-based learning and the use of learning technology in it.
